Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has won an order to supply 35,000 units of its Scorpio Pik Up light commercial vehicle (LCV) to Indonesia in 2026. The company said it is its biggest export order, and it exceeds its total export volumes recorded in FY25.

The order comes from Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise, for the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) Project. M&M said the vehicles will support logistics for cooperatives being set up across Indonesia.

Mahindra Scorpio Pik Up export order signals major Indonesia push

Mahindra & Mahindra said it will deliver the 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up vehicles in 2026 under a cooperative project in Southeast Asia. The company disclosed the order in an exchange filing.

The automaker linked the deployment to Indonesia’s KDKMP initiative, which aims to strengthen village-level cooperative networks. M&M said the vehicles will improve logistics and help move fresh supplies from farmers to marketplaces.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mahindra & Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said the committed volume will significantly boost international operations. He added that the order could match the company’s FY25 export volumes.

Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and KDKMP project focus on rural logistics

Mahindra & Mahindra said it will work with Agrinas Pangan Nusantara to equip Koperasi, or cooperatives, with the pickup vehicles. The stated goal is a smoother flow of produce from producers to consumers.

The company described the vehicles as a logistics backbone for cooperative operations across rural areas. It said the deployment will support “first-mile aggregation,” moving produce from farms to cooperatives, and intra-village movement of goods.

However, the company did not disclose commercial terms, including pricing, margins, or delivery phasing across 2026.

Nashik plant production underpins Mahindra’s export strategy

Mahindra & Mahindra said it will manufacture the Scorpio Pik Up vehicles at its Nashik plant in India. The company said it tailored the vehicles to Koperasi's operating needs, including rough rural roads and farm tracks.

An ANI report said Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated Mahindra Auto on social media for the export win. He highlighted that the order will be “Made in Nashik,” linking it to India’s manufacturing base.

Meanwhile, market reports noted investor attention on the scale of the single contract relative to Mahindra’s recent export run rate. The company positioned the order as a milestone for its overseas business.
