Air India has expanded passenger support as flight disruptions continue across the Middle East, while also adding capacity on selected long-haul routes to manage demand. The airline said eligible travellers can reschedule without charge or receive full refunds if their bookings are affected by cancellations.
Air India said the waiver applies to confirmed bookings made on or before February 28, 2026. The policy covers flights to and from the Middle East, the UK, and Europe for travel scheduled up to March 10, 2026. Customers can choose complimentary rescheduling or a full refund if their flights are cancelled.
The airline said the continuing situation in the Middle East has affected flight operations. It also asked passengers to check flight status updates regularly as conditions change. Air India reiterated that it is monitoring developments and adjusting operations in line with safety requirements.
Regional airspace disruptions have affected several international carriers in recent days. Reuters reported broad cancellations and route changes across the aviation sector as airlines responded to conflict-linked restrictions and closures. That wider disruption provides context for Air India’s waiver and network adjustments.
Air India also announced extra flights to Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris (Charles de Gaulle). The airline said it added these services to meet strong demand during the ongoing disruption in West Asia.
According to the airline’s update, Air India will operate three additional flights between Delhi and Toronto from March 5 to March 11. It will also run three additional flights between Delhi and Frankfurt from March 7 to March 10 and one extra flight between Delhi and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) during the same period.
These added services aim to improve travel options for passengers facing cancellations, rerouting, or delays on other sectors. The move also helps the airline absorb demand shifts from travellers who change plans at short notice.
Air India and Air India Express issued route-specific updates as they managed the disruption to operations. Public updates cited limited and additional services on some sectors, including Muscat and select Gulf-linked routes, to support stranded passengers and maintain essential connectivity where possible.
Air India’s latest advisory keeps the focus on passenger assistance and schedule flexibility. The airline has urged travelers to verify flight status before departure and use official channels for rescheduling or refund requests. With conditions still shifting, the carrier appears to be balancing safety, recovery flights, and network continuity.
